Laxton is a small rural village in north Nottinghamshire, going back to 1066 and the Norman Conquest.

Nowadays visitors can see the the site of the old castle at the edge of the village, and see the areas best preserved motte and bailey castle.

You can also view the fine looking, and beautiful, St Michael’s church which dates back from 1190 and is still regularly used.
