Visiting London Zoo
I once had the good fortune to stay in one of the nicest London hotels because my daughter worked for their chain at the time. She was head receptionist and she used her staff discount to book me a family room for the weekend. It was in a nice part of London, very close to Regent’s Park so I was able to take my youngest daughter, and slightly older husband, along with me to look at the penguins in London Zoo .
As it turned out my youngest daughter wasn’t all that impressed with the zoo, but she was only around three years old at the time. My husband on the other hand was entranced by the penguins and it was difficult to tear him away. Personally I was more interested in the venomous spiders, but I’ve always had a fascination for dangerous creatures, don’t ask me why. If you’ve never been to Regent’s Park you might want to pay a visit yourself, the zoo’s a great attraction for all the family and the park itself is restful and quite beautiful. Unfortunately I’m not related to anyone in the travel business so I can’t take advantage of cheap airline tickets to Europe for example. I’ve always fancied a vacation in Bavaria but I’ve never quite got around to it. I remember a Scandinavian cruise I went on a few decades ago now with my school’s science teacher. We visited Edvard Grieg’s old house in Norway and I can still remember the stunning forests. I suspect that’s where my interest in Bavaria has come from and one day I will motivate myself to pay a visit. In the meantime if you know anyone who can get me a discount don’t hesitate to give them my details.
