No matter what type of garden you have you would like it to look beautiful. There are many ways that you can accomplish this. Following some of these basic tips will result in you having the best garden on the block which is sure to place a smile on you face.
Mulch- Using mulch in your garden is a must for moisture. When using mulch you should choose some type of organic material. Things such as chipped tree trimmings. Using chipped tree helps reduce the amount of water that is needed and it keeps your soil nicer for a longer period of time.
Weeds- As soon as you see weeds you should be getting rid of them. This is because if you let them grow, then they will drop seeds and more weeds will start to grow. If you keep pulling them as soon as you see them, then your weed problem won’t be so much of a problem.
Start Vegetables Indoors- When planting things like tomatoes, eggplant and peppers its best to start these plants on the inside. This helps them grow and thrive better plus you can start these before the weather is warm so you can have fresh produce faster then the average gardener.
Raised Beds- These can have some great advantages. If you have no space or if bending down on your knees becomes a problem, then this is a great way to have a garden. You can raise a bed as high as you would like with the appropriate material. With a raised bed you can control pest issues a lot easier as well.
Herbs- These make great filler plants and most herbs are very simple to grow. They are a basic plant that is pretty much fuss free. You can add herbs as filler plants which makes your garden look a lot nicer and you result in fresh home grown herbs.
